Prayer for Insight

Over the years I have consistently expressed this personal prayer to God for supernatural discernment, wisdom, courage and favor. It comes from a deep desire to hear what His Spirit is saying to me, and to authentically engage my faith as I choose to obey.
Whether seeking personal or vocational insight, I believe God has consistently brought timely and supernatural awareness that has helped anchor my soul and direct my steps. As I walk alongside others as a SoulFriend, I pray this prayer over my loved ones and others as they pursue a dynamic relationship with the living God.
1) Discernment
“Lord, I pray for supernatural discernment. That I may develop God-given and timely intuition to recognize where you are at work in present circumstances, and be familiar with the movements of your Spirit in the greater world around me.”
2) Wisdom
“Lord, I pray for supernatural wisdom. To not simply lean on my own knowledge, skill, or experience, but instead look for your divine revelation.
May I be given gifts of wisdom, appropriate attitudes, posture and perspectives. May this guide IF, WHEN and/or HOW I am to halt or engage with a given situation, in cooperation with discernment.”
3) Courage
“Lord, I pray for supernatural courage. Courage like so many of our bible greats that exercised faith, even when they couldn’t see the future you put in their hearts.
May you stoke a boldness in me to trust and press ahead into difficult and complicated matters. That I would trust your Spirit to provide guidance and timely direction to my steps that want to please you.”
4) Favor
“Lord, I pray for supernatural favor from you and with others.
As I courageously try to listen and obey, may I experience grace and anointing for walking confidently into the future you have for me.
Being fueled by robust faith, hope, and love, may you be the gatekeeper of my success and the provider I know you to be. I trust you to open and close doors for our good and for the sake of others.”
